The Senior Producer will have expertise in Business Meetings, Live Events & Environments at Switch and be a product line expert. They will manage all facets of projects assigned. The Senior Producer will work in concert with creative directors, designers, and production departments as necessary.

 

This individual will develop the approach, strategy, budget, and track the costs to achieve the profit objectives of each project assigned. They will identify and manage all necessary resources. The Senior Producer will lead team members to deliver the project on time and on budget as well as ensure the creative and design approach stays focused and consistent with the project’s strategic intent and the client’s objectives. They will interface with clients and internal team on a regular basis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field such as communications, theatre, design, fine arts, or business
  • 5+ Years progressive experience as a Producer of meetings
  • 3+ Years of other related experience
  • Tradeshow and exhibits experience is a plus
  • Special certifications in meeting planning or PR will be considered
  • Knowledge of current technology solutions very important
  • Background in live television, live events or live activations will be considered

Responsibilities

This individual should:

  • Drive innovation throughout the project teams
  • Develop a positive working relationship with team members to bring out the best in people, creating a strong morale and spirit
  • Work in developing strategic solutions that address the client’s needs and sell-in to client
  • Develop and adhere to established production processes, contact reports, budgets, vendor management, project debrief
  • Participate in skill improvement and mentoring of junior employees within the department
  • Develop proactive solutions relative to operation and quality issues within the team and across other departments
  • Maintain Switch standards for all productions within their individual control
  • Develop and maintain knowledge banks of freelancers, production vendors, and resources in multiple locations – accessible to department
  • Negotiate production resources
  • Develop long-term relationships with clients that encourage loyalty to Switch and future contracts.

 

SPECIAL SKILLS

  • Understanding of productions ranging from simple ballroom to convention/arena scale events with an awareness of related technical elements.
    • Creation and management of timelines and production schedules
    • Venue assessment and management
    • Vendor selection and management
    • Supervision of scripting and graphic production
    • Understating of CAD drawings
    • Understanding of audio-visual integration
    • Ability to manage development of design, lighting, vendor selection & negotiation, local labor management (including unions), décor and logistics
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Develop line-by-line budgets starting at $100,000 and up, tracking costs and managing the bottom line of each project assigned
  • Management of all aspects of live events and meetings
  • Interfacing with clients to manage expectations and deliverables
  • Development and management of line-by-line budgets
  • Knowledge of essentials of video, staging, live acts, multimedia, and brand experiences
  • Leadership abilities with production and creative groups including internal and external resources
  • Experienced problem solving skills relating to client needs and budget challenges
  • Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to multi-task
