The Digital Producer possesses an advanced understanding of project management tools and best-practice methodologies to execute complex digital projects. Using superior problem solving skills, the Digital Producer maintains the balance on every project from concept to delivery by establishing estimates, developing timelines and managing clients, internal teams and vendors – all while keeping the project’s budget and scope in perspective.


  • Coordinate internal and external business requirements with the Digital Strategist to define project objectives, tasks and deliverables for projects, including coordination with freelancers, vendors and in-house resources.
  • Develop the necessary documentation throughout the project. This includes but is not limited to timelines, proposals, functional requirements and statements of work.
  • Ensure that all project documentation and files are accurate and complete before handing off to team members, freelancers or vendors.
  • Guide the client and team through the various phases of a project. Keep client and team up to speed on important milestones, budget/time allocation and decision points.
  • Inform Director of Digital Production on project deliverables, timeline, budget and resources needed to ensure the department’s productivity is maximized and profitable.
  • Prepare status reports and conduct internal and external status meetings as necessary to ensure effective issue resolution and quality project delivery.
  • Build strong client relationships and appropriately manage client and internal team expectations (communications, negotiations, escalation, feedback, etc.).
  • Manage the team assigned to each project and supervise daily progress.
  • Actively share knowledge and learnings from project experiences.
  • Keep abreast of new technology, resources and trends affecting the digital industry so as to share this knowledge with the team or apply to a project.
  • Analyze project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization.
  • Prepare financial reports and monitor billing activity for projects as part of the effort to ensure profitability.


Project Planning – Create and lead the project based on the client’s business, project objectives and requirements necessary to deliver a successful project. Evaluate the project plan throughout all phases and make necessary adjustments to keep the project on course. The Digital Producer is also responsible for communicating the status of the project plan to the client and internal team.


Project Management – Lead the day-to-day management of multiple projects using project management tools/documentation such as status reports, Basecamp and timelines, along with excellent communication skills and resource allocation assessments to keep multiple projects’ deliverables, budgets and timelines on track
