Qualifications

BA core requirements

 

 

Marketing, event and promotional background - sales experience a plus

Live a healthy and active lifestyle

Availability to work up to 15 hours per week

Background in field marketing for natural energy brands a plus

Possess excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving and customer service skills

Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends and holidays, as needed

Must have reliable transportation to get to all events

Must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a background check and drug screen

Ability to lift 50 lbs., load, set up, execute and tear down promotional items

Ability to stand for extended periods of time

 

MatchaBar COMPANY BIO

 

MatchaBar is a matcha tea company founded by brothers Max & Graham Fortgang based in Brooklyn, New York. MatchaBar opened its flagship - the country's first specialty matcha cafe - in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in 2014. In the Fall of 2015, MatchaBar Manhattan opened its doors! 

Shortly after, the team announced the launch of a RTD bottled product - bringing to market the world's first ceremonial grade bottled matcha. MatchaBar is currently distributed by Doras Natural, and UNFI throughout the entire country.

And three years later, with two additional cafe locations having opened recently in Los Angeles and New York, and the backing of Grammy Award-winning recording artist and fellow matcha lover, Drake, the MatchaFam has completed its first national roll-out of its bottled product! All the while, the brothers remain on a simple mission: to bring matcha to the people, sharing what they believe to be a better energy with the world around them!

Responsibilities

BA Core Responsibilities

  • Executes sampling opportunities as directed by MatchaBar Regional Managers & Switch Program Manager – primarily at retail and special event locations
  • Adds value to the in-store relationships that MatchaBar Regional Managers have established
  • Communicate product knowledge in an educated and energetic way to eager consumers
  • Contributes ideas and thoughts to the team on a regular basis for event, demo and sampling ideas
  • Post event responsibilities –reporting, inventory tracking and equipment storage
    • Reporting sample numbers, conversions, attendance, engagements, consumer/account/event feedback, etc.
