    The Account Development Manager is a focused professional who opens doors and paves the path to a successful agency-client relationship. Someone who is able to confidently assert themselves in a well-established team, who is flexible and responsive, and has an appreciation for the creative and strategic work the designers and strategists do. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the various marketing channels in which we work, including digital, branding, design, shopper marketing, marketing communications and advertising.

     

    We are looking for an individual who believes in innovation, collaboration, and good old-fashioned hard work, not to mention having a lot of fun along the way. The successful candidate assists with in/outbound marketing, presents brand and digital marketing recommendations to clients, and will be involved with both the development of new clients as well as organic growth with existing clients.

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    Qualifications

     

     

    • Passion for all things marketing
    • BA/BS/BJ in Communications, Business, Journalism or Marketing preferred
    • The desire to win and a proven track record of doing so
    • Strong relationship building interpersonal skills
    • Organized, efficient and self-motivated
    • Excellent writing and presenting skills
    • Strong reasoning and research capabilities
    • Strong problem-solver
    • A strong network and reputation is highly preferred
    • Experience developing new business accounts
    • Experience with Marketing/Communication agencies
    • Must have the ability to travel

    Responsibilities

     

    This individual should:

    • Gain an extensive knowledge of our capabilities, specifically with digital and brand marketing.
    • Posses a hunter’s mentality, seeking opportunities rather than waiting for them to come to us.
    • Be accountable - walk the talk, lead by example, create goals and stick to them.
    • Be the agency’s biggest cheerleader – both internally and externally.
    • Stay informed of marketing best practices.
    • Love to learn – nothing will stop this person’s inquisitive nature.
    • Be an author and storyteller – the Account Development Manager will bring Switch to life for prospects daily via the Switch story with new business presentations and case studies.
    • Create proposals (with the help of our creative team) and present solutions to prospects and clients.
    • Define and set goals for new and existing account growth.
    • Attend conferences and other industry events to build relationships and be a part of speaking engagements.
    • Provide strategic thought leadership in client pitches as part of a consultative selling approach.
